As part of the third round of the “AI Innovation Competition Baden-Württemberg” for researching and developing innovations in the field of artificial intelligence with a focus on “AI for SMEs” and “AI made in BW”, d-serv GmbH from Tübingen in Research project “LogoAI – Automated generation of logos as vector graphics using GANs” in late summer 2021.
For this research project, d-serv GmbH from Tübingen and the Institute for Enterprise Systems (InES) at the University of Mannheim are cooperating with Baden-Württemberg: Connected eV (bwcon) .
The goal is to develop an AI application for the automated creation of logos in the form of vector graphics. Users should be able to enter their specific requirements, such as preferred colors, fonts and similar information, via a graphical user interface, on the basis of which the AI application then creates a new and unique logo with the help of a »Generative Adversarial Network« (GAN). vector-based graphic generated. Vector-based graphics, which have become the standard in modern 2D design, can be used within the web-to-publish solution ci-book™ developed by d-serv GmbH for the production of advertising and communication media.
The research application for the “LogoAI” project was approved by the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism in Baden-Württemberg and the project will start in August 2021 with a planned duration until the end of 2022.
At this point, d-serv GmbH would like to thank the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg for the announced support for the implementation and above all its project partners for the very good, imaginative cooperation and the formulation of this future-oriented approach .
d-serv GmbH is thus strengthening its expansion of web-based software applications, which has been progressing since 2020, some of which are based on the web-to-publish solution ci-book™ or significantly supplement and expand it.
At the current time, in August 2021, these include:
1. Publishing Cloud
2. Corporate design generator
3. Virtual planning office
4. LogoAI
