Apprenticeship as IT Specialist for Application Development (m/f/d)

Your tasks and training content

• Design and development of web-based software applications, especially for the areas of web-to-print, web-to-publish, rating and finance, content and asset management.
• Programming and scripting primarily in the following programming and markup languages: HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery/EmberJS, PHP, SQL, C# and Java/J2EE/JBoss.
• Implementation and adaptation of user interfaces including connection of data sources and development or provision of interfaces.
• Testing and quality assurance with the help of prototypes or beta versions including documentation of results and use of SVN, GIT, NPM and AWS.
• Support in product development for the web-based products of d-serv GmbH, in particular for the web-to-print solution ci‑book ™ and for websites based on CM systems.
• Introduction and presentation of your work results – in front of colleagues and customers.
• Management and organization of deadlines, project plans and cost estimates.

Your profile and qualifications

• You are very interested in information technology development and would like to learn more about software development and software engineering.
• They not only want to know how »apps« can be programmed, but also like to find out and understand how they are designed in a user-centric way.
• You can understand that in certain situations it can be exhausting for everyone involved and you want to learn how to deal with it.
• You have successfully completed your Abitur or secondary school leaving certificate. Please let us know if you have comparable degrees from abroad.
• You know that your work is always part of a team effort and that you have to represent and present it to others - whether in writing or verbally.
• You speak and write German fluently and can understand English well. Any language courses required during the training period can be discussed with us.
• You would like to get to know and master software development environments or ideally you have basic knowledge of one of the programming and markup languages mentioned above.
